Casual & Comfortable Sneakers for Travel
Since I’ve been on the road traveling like crazy lately, I’m tested and retested all different kinds of shoes. If I’m feeling like dressing up, I’ll often wear my favorite pair of booties, but most of the time, I’m just looking to wear a casual pair of sneakers that keep my feet happy and healthy throughout the day. Today I’m rounding up all my favorite casual sneakers that I have in my closet and what I think of all of them! These are all great sneakers to wear while traveling or to have on hand for those long days of being a tourist…or just a mom. I found Dr. Scholl’s shoes by mistake one day and I’m soooo glad I did because they are some of the most comfortable shoes I own! Whenever I film cooking videos all day or have a long day of travel ahead of me, I wear my Dr. Scholl’s sneakers because I know they are some of the most supportive shoes I own! Dr. Scholl’s was started by creating comfortable shoe inserts and grew from there so you can trust them to know feet. And their styles continue to get cuter with time!
These shoes are created with merino wool after the creator noticed that it was pretty absent in the shoe category. AllBirds is created with natural materials and stays away from synthetic alternatives. And they are insanely comfortable! I’ve also heard that wool is suppose to help with sweaty feet, but I can’t say that for sure. I will forever have the sweatiest feet. It’s disgusting.
When you think of UGG, you often think of young girls in jean skirts and fur boots, but UGG has transformed into a brand that offers their staple boots along with an entire line of high fashion for your feet! And these sneakers above are super comfortable to walk in all day, plus they have a supportive heel piece to make sure you don’t get any blisters along the way. The only thing to keep in mind is that they are a bit narrow, so even though they stretch a good amount, they won’t be the best for wide feet.
I love slip on shoes for travel. I DO NOT condone taking shoes off in a flight, especially if you have stank ass feet or bare feet, but slip ons give you the ability to pull your feet out slightly and let them breathe without offending others on the plane. Don’t be that guy. These Söfft shoes are like walking on cloud all day long! I absolutely love them!
We all know about TOMS and it’s mission. If you don’t, you should listen to the How I Built This podcast with the company’s story. It’s a good one. If you don’t know about them, when you buy a pair of TOMS, they give a pair to someone in need. And luckily, TOMS shoes have come a long way since I bought my first pair 6 years ago. Now they have more supportive and comfortable shoes that strike up conversation. I was in the Seattle airport just last week and got a compliment about my shoes and the woman asked where I got them! These shoes are also a little narrow, but still quite comfortable!
