The Best Three Ways to Tie a Blanket Scarf (video!)
Have you ever bought a blanket scarf and then instantly let it sit in your closet because you had no idea how to tie it? Well bring that blanket scarf out of storage and dust off the ole’ mothballs. Maybe spray it with a little perfume so it doesn’t smell like sawdust and in turn make you smell like a hamster. I’m here today to show you the BEST three ways to tie a blanket scarf. A couple years back I shared seven ways, but how many of you out there are trying to tie a scarf seven different ways in a week? Ain’t nobody got time for that!
I believe there are really only three ways to tie a blanket scarf…especially if you are lazy like me. If you’re a visual learner, I’m here to share a how-to video with you. If you’re a verbal learner, I’ll share step-by-step instructions below. Either way, I’m here to make sure you don’t drown in your blanket scarf this winter. And I found a ton of cute ones to sport through the winter!
Here’s the first way to tie a blanket scarf – for those who love the lazy life
- Fold your square blanket scarf in half, creating a triangle.
- Point the top of the triangle towards the ground. Grab the two other points of the triangle and wrap them around your neck.
- Transfer each end of the triangle into the opposite hand then pull each end toward the ground to create a wrap around the neck. Fluff and you’re done!
Here’s the second way to tie a blanket scarf – for those who love the basic PSL life
- Fold your square blanket scarf in half, creating a triangle.
- Point the top of the triangle towards the ground. Grab the two other points of the triangle and wrap them around your neck.
- Transfer each end of the triangle into the opposite hand then pull each end toward the ground to create a wrap around the neck.
- Lift up the full piece of scarf that is around your neck and tie the two ends together underneath. Then place the pointed end of the scarf on top of the tie and fluff it up to your liking (no fluffer jokes, ok!?!).
Here’s the third way to tie a blanket scarf – for those who want to act like they have their sh*t together
- Fold your square blanket scarf in half, creating a triangle.
- Point the top of the triangle towards the ground. Grab the two other points of the triangle and loosely roll the fabric.
- Place the middle of the rolled fabric around your neck. Take the two ends of the fabric and crisscross around the neck, placing each end in the opposite hand.
- Tie the two ends of the fabric together behind your neck and fold that knot underneath the other fabric. Then lift your hair over the fabric (if you have long hair) and fluff the front to create the infinity scarf.
How easy is that?! Now you’re a pro! But if you don’t have a blanket scarf yet, I found a ton to help you out! Some starting at just $9.99! Hope this helps you stay warm and cozy this winter!
