According to researchers, 16 ounces of slurpy-style ice lowers your sweat rate and perceived effort, making it easier to push yourself more than you would normally in hot conditions. The benefits, which scientists attribute to a lower core temperature, are akin to spending 12 days in a heat-acclimating training camp.
